Move For Change

COLD

COLD is a dance work that delves into themes of alienation, loneliness, and cruelty, focusing on the human being and its essence. Bodies and their somewhat disturbed integrity are driven by memories, dreams, and stories drawn from people who were excluded from society several years ago. Today, the survivors speak to us about fear, hatred, anger, but also the need to survive – the challenge to endure, to save, to be saved, to go home. COLD explores the curves in the soul, the darkness, the silhouette, takes a deep breath, and challenges the spirit to come out of the body. Dancers pulse, conquer space, build imagery, share emotions, and overcome fears.

The work is based on motifs from the stories of survivors of concentration camps in Bulgaria in the 20th century and analyses a series of events that took place in the camps at that time.
